Central Arizona Bank’s Michele Yates Completes Pacific Coast Banking School, Elected Class President

Michele YatesSCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – (Sept. 16, 2009) - Central Arizona Bank is pleased to announce that Michele Yates, vice president of banking services, has completed the three-year educational program at the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington in Seattle. Yates was honored to be elected president of the Class of 2009, which included 211 bankers.

“My goal is to someday become a bank president,” said Yates, who has 20 years in banking, including 10 years with Central Arizona Bank. “Completing the program at the Pacific Coast Banking School and being elected by the other students to be president of the Class of 2009 will help me achieve my goal.”

In the community, Yates is active with the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership, a nine-month training program for business and civic members, and currently a member of its board of directors. She is currently director of the Women of Scottsdale networking organization.

A graduate of Arizona Western College in Yuma, Yates has an associate’s degree in business management. She also completed the educational program at the Western School of Banking in Reno, Nev., in 2006.

The Pacific Coast Banking School’s three-year graduate level leadership and financial management education program is tailored for career bankers. Since 1938, the school has helped more than 10,000 bankers advance their careers and improve their banks. More than 500 of those graduates are currently serving as CEOs of financial institutions with hundreds more serving in key leadership roles across the country.
